For this Vespa model, the TURISMO SPECIALE, several modifications were made to the existing Piaggio 125 engine to increase its power. Most notably, is the improvement in its acceleration.
Many features of its frame are in keeping with the 200 Rally model, such as the glove compartment on the back of the legshield and the spare wheel housed under the rear left-handed side panel.
In the years 1975 and 1976, the Piaggio factory produced 16,700 of the Vespa Turismo Speciale. In 1976, there were 10,700 produced. |
